We took Tamia for a drive to look at Christmas lights the night before we went to Brookesmith. Here is a picture of the 3 of us bundled up and ready to go. She had a wonderful time...screaming "Santa!" or "Candy Canes" every time she saw them.

Christmas at the Holman's
Like I said before, Santa has many trips to make this Christmas, so he came to our house early. He brought Tamia her very own kitchen and she has since become quite the cook. Here are some pictures...

COOKIES FOR SANTA
Santa came early to our house because he has to have time to get to both Granny's in Brookesmith and Nana's in Oklahoma City. So with Daddy's suggestion, Tamia and I decided we would make cookies for the big guy himself...peanut butter with reeses in the middle. Tamia was a BIG helper...she took every single wrapper off all by herself. We had a blast and I think Santa really liked the cookies; so did Mrs. Clause for that matter. :)

THE NORTH POLE EXPRESS
Last Sunday we took Tamia to ride The North Pole Express in Grapevine. We had a blast! She got to make ornaments for the tree, sing Christmas songs, and even meet Santa! The great thing is that Larry and I had just as much fun as she did. It is so awesome to get to see your children experience things for the very first time. She is so precious to us and we are loving every minute of this parenting thing. Here are some pics from that night...
Of course she spotted Dora FIRST!

Baby Tammy
When I was home for Thanksgiving, I found my old cabbage patch doll in my closet...Her name was Tammy. I brought it home with me because I knew Tamia would just LOVE it. She did. You should have seen her face when I gave it to her. She told me she would take care of her for me...ha. I think she has already had 27 diaper changes. Tamia is really into the baby stage right now...or should I say the mommy stage? Here are some pictures of Tamia and Tammy...
We are headed to Daddy's basketball game today and going on the Polar Express Train ride tomorrow so look for more posts coming soon.

GIVING THANKS
What I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving...
My amazing husband. He is such a caring man, such a wonderful father. I'm so thankful that God placed us together.
My precious step-daugther. I never knew I could love someone so much. She brings us so much joy.
My little man Sampson. He definately knows who takes care of him...he doesn't leave my side.
Our families...Larry and I are so close to them...and words can't express my gratitude for them all.
My friends...the ones I couldn't live without....the girls that are still so close to me even with the miles, marriages, and kids in between us. :) I love yall!
My co-workers...without them, I'm sure there would be days I couldn't endure.
Larry's job that he is so passionate about.
My faith...GOD IS GOOD.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Cooking for Thanksgiving
Since Larry will be on the road with his basketball team this Thanksgiving, Tamia and I are cooking for him today. The menu includes Kidd Kraddick's brown bag turkey, Granny's green bean casserole, stuffing, and pecan pie. Here is Chef Tamia working on the pecan pie.
A real chef ALWAYS tastes what she is cooking. :)

A VIDEO MESSAGE FOR DADDY

Great Wolf Lodge
We had a great time on our "vacation"! As soon as we checked into the hotel, we got dressed for the pool. Tamia was so excited to go swimming. It took her a while to warm up to the pool area...I think it was a little too loud for her. She seems to be scared of everything these days. :) We spent a couple of hours swimming and even did the lazy river. After the pool, we went to the game room. I'm telling you, I've never seen a 2 year old so excited. She kept chanting "going to the play room, the play room, the play room". It was funny. After that, we had dinner at the restaurant and went to story time in the lobby. It was such a nice time together. Thank you Daddy! We love you!

THANKSGIVING BREAK
Thanksgiving break starts today and I'm so excited! TEN DAYS OFF!!!! Since Larry will be coaching basketball on Thanksgiving, he got a room for the 3 of us at Wolf Creek Lodge in Grapevine....our mini vacation starts Sunday. It WAS supposed to be a surprise, but if you know my husband he just can't keep a secret. I can't wait for Tamia to see the water park. She LOVES to swim... It will be nice to spend some family time together since Larry and I have been so busy with work. Look for the post and pictures next week!
